Gang Outreach is a faith-based, award winning, multi-racial,
multi-cultural gang prevention and intervention program in Lake
County, Illinois, providing services designed to positively influence
the lives of at-risk youth in four areas: Developmentally, Emotionally,
Socially and Spiritually.
Gang Outreach offers several means of gang intervention
and prevention including:
*Speaking At Area Schools In Classrooms And Assemblies
*Speaking One On One With Youth About Gang Involvement
* Speaking At Neighborhood Watch Group Meetings
*Presentations At Local Gang Forums In Community Colleges
* Working With Law Enforcement In Local Communities
*Finding "Safe Houses" For Youth Attempting To Leave Their Gang
*Purchasing Clothing For Ex-Gang Members To Replace Gang "Colors"
* Providing Assistance In Obtaining Employment For Ex-Gang Members
* Speaking At Area Conferences On Gang Violence
