I received an email from someone who felt that the link
below, "Depressed Saints", should be removed, or thrown
out. The reason given was that the link shares that
though all of us may go through periods of depression for
different reasons.
We all have a choice in how we handle
depression, and panic/anxiety disorder. In no way does the
link lessen the impact of depression, or just how hard it
can be to seek Gods word, counseling, or medication in
some instances.
Sometimes healing takes place quickly, and sometimes
it is a long drawn out process, but we do have a choice to
either let it completely overwhelm us, and possibly fall
into thoughts of suicide, or we can choose to seek
help and fight back.
He felt that the last thing someone suffering from depression
needs is to hear that they "have a choice". He seemed very
sincere that it was "counter-productive". I completely
disagree. Knowing we do have a choice, even if its not
an easy one brings hope. If you are suffering from
depression, or panic/anxiety disorder, or you live with
someone who does, my heart goes out to you.
My wife
suffers from them, and I have many friends, family
members, and people online I have met who do, or
have had. I pray the articles below the scriptures will be
of encouragement to you!

Isaiah 40:28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard?

understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to
the weary, and increases the power of the weak.

stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord

like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will
walk and not grow faint.
John 14:25-27 All this I have spoken while still with
you. Bu the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father
will send in my name, will teach you all things and
will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give
to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be
troubled and do not be afraid.

Hi, my name is Lori. Panic attacks have been a part of
my life for a lot of years. I know the pain and despair that
panic can bring into a persons life. Fear, and the fear of
being afraid, destroyed my life.
I tried therapy and medications that helped a lot,
but the attacks and depression still nagged at me. It
seemed I would never be free of them. I became
housebound, afraid that I would have an attack
and die in public.
With a lot of hard work and God's help I have found
a way to be free from panic. That way is what
I want to share with you.
