Then Jesus said to his disciples,

Cow in a Fish Pond

Late one night a patron was in the Chatterbox and outside

was his pick-up truck, with a cow in the back. Some

ornery boys came by and let the tailgate down.

The cow jumped out, and was running up and down the

street with a bunch of kids, even some of our

kids, and a bunch of fellows from the

Chatterbox chasing it. It went from

the street, to the alley behind our

house into the playground.

Finally, the cow ended up in our fish pond, nearly scared

to death. The bottom of the pond was made of

painted concrete and it was very slick! The

cow couldn't get any traction and no

matter how hard it tried, it couldn't

get out of the water!

The cow's owner finally brought his pick-up truck to the

alley and backed it up to the fishpond. It took about

ten men to lift that cow into the truck. The

owner left immediately. Whew!!
